What is Amtgard?

Amtgard is a non-profit, non-sectarian group devoted to recreating elements of the medieval, ancient, and fantasy genres. The thrust of Amtgard is both recreational and educational, with major group efforts devoted to reconstructions of medieval combat. Amtgard weapons are safe, foam-padded replicas of the real things. All those under the age of 18 require both parental and Monarch approval to partake.

What is Crimson Wood?

Crimson Wood is a chapter of Amtgard. As our name implies, we are located in the Redwood Empire, better known as Sonoma County of California. We are dedicated to bringing the dream of what Amtgard offers to reality here in Northern California. One of our main goals is to be able to bring the interesting aspects of medieval life to those around us, through demonstration and educational classes, and to offer alternative recreation to those of all ages.
